'Low Tide' Kotaré Painting
As the tide recedes, this little kotaré (sacred kingfisher) waits with his laser sharp eyesight to pick up his morning meal. The minty green halo behind him represents the morning sun shining down upon a clear blue-green ocean.

Materials; acrylic on canvas framed in an American Ash tray frame (55mm deep frame)

FRAME
- Natural American Ash (Fraxinus Americana). Similar in appearance to European ash. The sapwood is light coloured to nearly white and the heartwood varies from greyish brown to pale yellow streaked with brown. The wood is generally straight-grained with a coarse, uniform texture.
- Sustainably grown with FSC certification and kiln dried
- Under and cross pinned for extreme strength and rigidity
