This piece is inspired by the Ruru that calls to me at night when I’m staying with my parents in Auckland.

Although I’ve never seen him, I imagine him scanning the bush floor surrounded by the sparkle of starlight across a midnight blue sky.

This piece is painted with acrylic paints on a 60cm x 90cm canvas (34mm deep).

It is beautifully framed in a antique gold tray frame that reflects the colours of both the ruru and branch he sits upon beautifully.

The overall framed measurements are 64cm x 96cm.
